OUR BELIEFS
Our Beliefs:
1. The Bible is the Divinely inspired Word of God – 2 Tim. 3:15-17; 2 Pet 1:16-21
2. There is one God (YHWH), The Creator of Heaven and Earth – Dt. 6:4; Isa. 43:10-12; Mat. 28:19-20
3. God consists of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; Three in One. – II Cor. 13:14; Gen. 1:26-28; Rom. 1:20; I Cor. 8:6; Eph. 4:3-6
4. Jesus is the Son of God, God the Son and the deity of Christ (the anointed One)– Mat. 1:23; Lk. 1:35; Acts 2:32-36; Rom. 1:4; Phil. 2:9-11; Heb. 1:3
5. God created us to have a relationship with Him. He gave us a freewill choice to obey or disobey Him. Adam chose to disobey and had a subsequent fall or separation from God for all mankind.– Gen. 1:26-27, 2:17, 3:6; Rom. 5:12-19
6. Our salvation and way back to God is through faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, the Messiah – John: 3:3, 16, 10:9-10, 14:6; Acts 2:21, 4:12; Lk. 24:46-47; John 3:3; Rom. 10:9-10, 13-15; Eph. 1:8, 2:8-9; Tit. 2:11; Rom. 8:16
7. Water Baptism is a decision we make in our obedience to identify with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection into newness of life. – Mat. 28:19; Mk.16:16; Acts 10:47; Rom. 6:4
8. Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a decision we make to receive the gift given by the Father of His Holy Spirit. Jesus instructs His believers to be filled with power from on high by receiving the Holy Spirit. He says that as followers of Him to receive the Holy Spirit and you will be filled with the Power of God to help us walk in this world. – Luke 24:49; Mat. 7:9-11; Mat. 3:11; Mk. 1:7; Lk. 3:16-33; Acts 1:5; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:1-4
9. The 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit to function in each believer to build up the Body of Christ. I Cor 12:7-11
10. Holy Communion to remember Christ’s death, the cleansing of our sin and the new covenant He has brought us into. I Cor. 11:23-34
11. Divine Healing is available to all believers through faith. – Ish. 53:4; Mat. 8:16, 17; James 5:14-16; I Pet. 2:24
12. The Blessed Hope of eternal life in Heaven is for all believers. – Rom. 8:23; I Cor. 15:51; I Thes. 4:16; Titus 2:13
13. Millennial Reign of Christ – Zech. 14:5; Mat. 24:27; Rev. 1:7, 19:11-14, 20:1-6
